In an emotional social media post, musician Firerose has recalled the 'narcissistic abuse' she allegedly endured whilst married to country music star ex-husband, Billy Ray Cyrus.
The 'After The Storm' chart-topper took to Instagram a matter of hours ago (5 Dec), where she shared a video compilation featuring a number of photos of her considerably younger self.
On the clip itself, Firerose (real name Johanna Rose Hodges) wrote: "In your 20s you'll meet a 49-year-old man who convinces you you're his soulmate..."
Several images of Cyrus then appear, with his ex-wife going on to say: "...it is very important you don't believe him."

Though the video went on to feature a handful of seemingly happy video of the former couple - who got engaged in August 2022 after collaborating for their joint country track 'New Day' - the smiling images were quickly tainted by subsequent clips of Firerose, 36, crying.
In the caption, the Australian artist went on to warn her followers: "If you’ve survived narcissistic abuse, you’re not alone.
"It’s chilling how similar survivors experiences really are. Behind closed doors, it’s always the same playbook. Control, isolation, rage, manipulation, walking on eggshells, cognitive dissonance, feeling like the only person in the world that can be experiencing what you are."

Firerose continued: "But I promise, God sees everything and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
"You are far stronger than you think. Love is always still real, even if what you’re experiencing right now is abuse, not love."
This is far from the first time that she's made such claims, filing documents in June of last year, accusing her ex - from whom she split after just seven months of marriage - of 'extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse'.

10 days later, 63-year-old Cyrus filed paperwork of his own in Williamson County Court in Tennessee, claiming he'd endured the same treatment from her.
At the same time, he requested a temporary restraining order from his ex, accusing her of having racked up up more than $96,000 worth of purchases on his personal and business credit cards.
It was he that filed for divorce from Firerose the month prior, citing fraud, as per the LA Times.
Though he is yet to address his former flame's damning new claims, the 'Achy Breaky Heart' hitmaker did speak out last year on an audio recording obtained by PEOPLE, in which he could be heard belittling the singer-songwriter.

In the clip, after berating her for making him 'late', he told Firerose to 'shut the f**k up', before calling her a 'f*****g selfish b***c'. In response, she begged Cyrus to 'please stop screaming at me'.

Responding to the outburst being made public, he wrote online: "Hell yeah I was at my wit's end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud.
"I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges' ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents' last name."

The father-of-six went on to claim 'everything I thought I knew about' Firerose 'was a lie', accusing the 37-year-old of 'trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain', and vowing to see her in court.
