Anna Faris admits to ‘challenging’ 14-year-old son’s religious and pro-life views
Co-parenting is hard, and Anna Faris has revealed she has had to question some of her 14-year-old son’s views.
The Scary Movie star has a son, Jack, with her ex, Chris Pratt.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy actor is known for his Christian faith, and Faris, 49, says that his beliefs have rubbed off on their son.
The couple married in 2009, and welcomed Jack in 2012.

They then sadly divorced in 2017, with Pratt, 47, going on to marry Katherine Schwarzenegger (yes, Arnie’s daughter) in 2019, and he has three children with.
Faris appeared on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast this week, and opened up about her son’s faith, saying he ‘is religious. I didn’t grow up with religion. He’s asked me to accept Jesus Christ.’
She confessed: “I told him I would do anything for him, including this, but it’s going to take a whole lot of long conversations.”
Faris added that Jack is ‘solid as a tugboat emotionally ’, which has allowed for her to ‘challenge him’ and question some of the views they don’t see eye to eye on.
The star stressed she is ‘appreciative’ that Jack is ‘examining religion’ with her rather than following blindly.
She said he is ‘recognising hypocrisy,’ and is happy to have ‘long conversations’ about it together
“I’m like, ‘Do you think it’s a luxury that you get to be pro-life? Do you think that’s kind of a luxury?’’ And he’s like, ‘Maybe,’” she said.
“Or I’ll say, ‘What do you think of this mega pastor that’s kind of a grifter?’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, mega pastors are the worst.’ So it’s like, ‘Okay, he’s getting there.’”

Jack was born nine weeks early and suffered from a severe cerebral haemorrhage.
Pratt opened up in an essay about how Jack’s birth impacted him.
In 2025 he wrote how he was ‘back on my knees, pleading with God for a miracle’ to save his son.
“I promised that if Jack survived, I would devote my life to sharing God’s message. This time I meant it,” he wrote.
He added: “Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for his life, and for the lives of my other children.”
Pratt went on to have three children with Schwarzenegger, after meeting her at church: “I know how fortunate I am. I know there are countless parents who pray those same prayers and don’t receive the answer I did. My heart is with them always.”
He also told defended his beliefs in an interview with Page Six in 2023, saying it’s the way things are: “That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him [Jesus], too.
“‘If I was of this world, they would love me just like that, but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world.’ That’s John 15:18 through 20,” he said.
During an acceptance speech for an award, according to Metro, he said: “I would not be here with the ease and grace I have in my heart without my lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.
“God is real. God loves you, God wants the best for you. Believe that, I do. Learn to pray. It’s easy, and it is so good for your soul.”
He also told The Christian Post: “I care enough about Jesus to take a stand, even if it costs me. It could cost me everything, but I don’t care. It’s worth it to me because this is what I’m called to do, it’s where my heart is.”
