Alexandra Burke has given birth to her second child.

The singer has been updating fans on her pregnancy, and has now confirmed that she had welcomed the newest addition to her family.

The exciting news comes a year after she and footballer Darren Randolph had their first child together.

Taking to Instagram to announce the arrival, Burke shared a couple of photos, the first of her baby's hand holding onto her finger, the second of its tiny feet.

As well as the snaps, Burke wrote: "Feeling so blessed. We are now a family of four. Welcome to the world our little peanut."

Following the announcement, the singer's fans piled into the comments to wish the couple well.

"How wonderful! Congratulations to you all!" put a third.

While someone else added: "Huge congratulations! Sending you and your beautiful family all the love."

Burke revealed she was pregnant once again back in April.

The 35-year-old surprised fans with her exciting news on Instagram, writing: “We are so excited to do this all again."

It was posted alongside pictures from a maternity shoot from her first pregnancy.

The announcement came a month after the popstar celebrated her first Mother's Day, when she said she felt ‘blessed’.

The star wrote: “My first Mother’s Day as your mama… Feeling very blessed. Can’t thank the hubby enough for making me feel so special and loved.

“My little baby Grape - thank you for making me a better person. For making me the best version of myself and showing up in ways I thought I never could… I am so lucky to be your mum.”

She also paid tribute to her own mum, the late British soul singer Melissa Bell who passed away in 2017.

She wrote: “To my mummy. Happy heavenly Mother’s Day. I’m thinking of you always and I hope I’m making you proud. I wish you were here to see this bundle of joy who is helping to heal my heart everyday.”

The chart-topping singer previously said she only sees her boyfriend Darren twice a week, which means she is often left alone to raise their baby.

The goalkeeper joined Bournemouth in January after leaving West Ham United.

She told Mail Online: "Whether it's about children or your life in general, women just adapt.

"No shade to men, I think men are great… but women, oh my God we make milk for crying out loud!"
