Ever since Netflix dropped their first Christmas movie of the year, Holidate, at the end of October, viewers have quickly become passionate fans of the rom-com and now they want more.
Luckily for them, the writer of Holidate has already begun planning a sequel and despite the first film only being a few days old, the potential sequel has a lot of anticipation.
Remember, a follow-up film has not been confirmed by Netflix (yet) but Tiffany Paulsen, the movie's writer, said during a recent interview with Vanity Fair that she would want to pick up the story from the end of the first film, where Jackson (Luke Bracey) takes Sloane (Emma Roberts) to his native Australia to spend New Year's.

"Don't you think Holimates is just a cute title?", she said. "Holimates: Holidate Down Under."
The sequel could depict Sloan's experience adjusting to Australia and Jackson's family. "I know exactly what that story will be and how we would explore it.
"I'm certainly hopeful. We hope that people love it and want to see more of this relationship. I think there's so much more to explore with Sloan and Jackson, because they've barely dated. They go on 11 dates in a year, and there's a lot to see where this goes. So we'll cross our fingers," she added.

For those of you who haven't seen Holidate yet, Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) hate the holidays. They're eternally single and are constantly being judged by their respective meddling families.
When they meet in true rom-com fashion they decide to be each other's plus ones for each holiday celebration over the course of the year. Sounds like a cute deal, right?
A fan posted on Twitter: "Ok y'all #Holidate is absolutely amazing and I need a sequel ASAP". Another fan wrote "ok we might be getting a sequel to [Holidate] which means we're getting more [Emma].
