New Netflix Film Starring Idris Elba And Produced By Jay-Z Is Coming
The Harder They Fall is an upcoming all-black Western movie starring Idris alongside Jonathan Majors, with a directorial debut by British musician Jeymes Samuel, AKA Bullitts.
The streaming service say of the synopsis: "When outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) discovers that the man (Elba) who killed his parents two decades ago is being released from prison, he reunites with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge."
The film has been written by Samuel along with Boaz Yakin, while Jay-Z is joined in production duties with James Lassiter and Lawrence Bender.
The 49-year-old rapper has worked with Samuel in the past, working together on The Great Gatsby soundtrack.
Elba recently worked with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, and is soon due to star in Tom Hoopers' adaptation of Cats, due for release on 20th December.
The actor is currently filming Suicide Squad alongside Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne, and also Three Thousand Years of Longing alongside Tilda Swinton.
Back in April, Idris was married to his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre in a lavish three-day wedding ceremony in Morroco.
Sabrina wore a two custom dresses by Vera Wang for her big day, while the groom wore a bespoke suit by Ozwald Boateng.
"The best day of my life, thank you to everyone who helped make it so special," Sabrina wrote on Instagram after weekend.
There's no release date for The Harder They Fall just yet.
