Channel 4 is looking for wannabe dog owners to match with their perfect pooch..

Recruiting for the second series of their eight-part hit, The Dog House, the channel has a whole load of adorable pups looking for their forever home - and they're all hoping you could be the one to provide it.

Following Wood Green - a Cambridgeshire charity which takes in hundreds of dogs each year - the charity shows a team of over 60 workers as they work hard to find homes for all their beloved pups.

The charity takes in hundreds of disowned or neglected dogs year on year.

And its ultimate goal is to find the perfect match for both the doggo and human. But to do so is not as easy as it looks...

To ensure they get it right, Wood Green's team track the human looking to adopt on every step of their journey, analysing their lifestyle and behaviours and matching it to their canines.

Last year, secret cameras were set up for 12 weeks in the rescue centre, to make what you could almost describe as a human/doggy dating agency.

The team then rigged cameras so they could watch the interactions unfold as people met their prospective dogs for the first time, and easily spot those that had 'chemistry' as well as those that didn't.

In series one, we fell in love with Mozart the Jack Russell and Zeus the Staffordshire bull terrier.

But could your future doggo be the next TV superstar to win the world over?

It goes without saying that, to appear on the show, you have to be looking for a dog to join your family for life, and have the facilities to provide for it.

The channel claims it is "looking for people who can offer a lifelong home to a rescue dog, and would be happy to share their reasons for doing so".

If you think this could be you, you can apply by emailing [email protected] or calling 07907 956042.
