The season four teaser trailer for Stranger Things has dropped and we're now wondering if Hopper is still alive and in The Upside Down.
In the season three finale, we watched as Joyce closed the gate on The Upside Down, causing a huge blast and we all just assumed that Hopper died in the explosion, given that he disappeared into thin air.

But the cryptic season four trailer just landed, has left us pondering if we might just see Jim Hopper once again.
The sheriff appeared to make the ultimate sacrifice by closing The Upside Down, protecting his adopted daughter Eleven once again, but his body was never shown and people are wondering if he jumped into The Upside Down portal.
Plus, at the end of season three, there was a post-credits scene that heard viewers heard Russian soldiers mentioning they were holding an American in a Siberian prison. Could this also be Hopper?
With the trailer also depicting just a few words "We're not in Hawkins anymore," we're now thinking the new season will be all about him in this other universe, perhaps a parallel one to Hawkins - fans certainly seem to think so too.
i'm guessing it now so i have proof if it's true, Hopper jumped into the portal to the upside down before Joyce closed it(that's why we didn't see his body), and the 4th season is them going get him back. #strangerthings #strangerthings4

People think that season four will see Eleven and her friends dive into The Upside Down to try and save Hopper, after thinking they've spotted him in the short trailer.
On the announcement of the new season, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said: "The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we're thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love."

He added: "We can't wait to see what The Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down."
This comment is a strange one, given what it says in the trailer, so we really just don't know what's in store just yet.

The creators of the show, the Duffer brothers have been confirmed to return for a fourth season too.
They added "We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix.
"Ted Sarandos, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, and Matt Thunell took a huge chance on us and our show - and forever changed our lives."
There is no official release date yet, but we're already excited.
