Fans of 50 Cent's crime drama Power were disappointed to learn that the show would be drawing to a close after its sixth and final season, but at least they have something to look forward to as Netflix will be airing the season weekly from August in the UK.

The show is centred on James "Ghost" St. Patrick, a drug dealer and crime lord played by Omari Hardwick. He's attempting to go straight and pursue a crime-free life as a nightclub owner, but his efforts are often thwarted - as we will likely see in season six, as he chases revenge for the "ultimate betrayal".

The sixth season will premiere in the US on 25th August and now Netflix has revealed how UK fans will be able to watch it.

Netflix UK picked up Power's first two seasons to stream in April 2016, and since August 2016, the streaming service has been showing weekly episodes.

And Netflix will stream the show a day later than its Starz showings in the US, so the first episode will be 26th August in the UK.

This season also looks like it's going to be longer than previous ones, at 15 episodes instead of 10.

Previously, Carmi Zlotnik, the president of programming for Starz, who broadcast Power in the US, said: "Season six brings us to the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the Power story.

"However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin. Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dynamic characters and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the Power universe".

It looks like this season is set to be a big one, so if you add Power to your titles on Netflix, you'll get notified when the new episodes air, and hopefully won't miss any.
