Happy Killing Eve day, everyone! That's right, Saturday is the day that season two drops on iPlayer and finally we get to find out what's become of Eve and her glamorous nemesis, Villanelle.

All episodes of the latest installment of the femme fatale series will be available to watch on iPlayer on Saturday from 10pm, immediately after the show airs at 9.15pm on BBC One.

That's our entire weekend sorted then.

Fans have been waiting long enough; the second series premiered in the US on April 7 and in Ireland on 10th April, and we have been dying to join in on the fun.

The new season picks up exactly 36 seconds on from the dramatic closing scene of season one, in which MI5 officer Eve Polastri (played by Sandra Oh) stabbed Villanelle (Jodie Cormer) before fleeing.

Episode one will follow Eve's desperate search for Villanelle after she disappeared from the Parisian flat, and we have a *feeling* she may have survived the attack.

Describing episode one, the BBC said: "After a terrifying intervention that neither woman is expecting, Villanelle is forced to go on the run, and Eve is ordered home to London, uncertain of her fate."

In series one we met Eve, who was working for the MI5 and was recruited by the Russian branch of the MI6 to investigate the deaths of a string of high-profile figures across Europe.

When Eve said the killer was probably a woman, her suggestion wasn't taken seriously. The series then followed the cat-and-mouse chase between Eve and Villanelle.

Season two will see Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh and Doctor Foster's Jodie Comer return, alongside Fiona Shaw as Carolyn Martens.

There's also a few new cast members to get excited about: Love Actually's Nina Sosanya and The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt will be joining, along with Edward Bluemel, who played Maeve's brother Sean in Sex Education.

Speaking about his character Hugo in Wonderland Magazine, Edward said, "[He's] a crafty guy, but quite a low key crafty guy," adding, "He's very manipulative and he's definitely got no moral compass, that's his biggest flaw."

Killing Eve is based on the four-part novellas Codename Villanelleby Luke Jennings. The first series was written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the brain behind Fleabag, while the second series is headed up by The Crown's show writer Emerald Fennell.
