Mum Fed-Up As Home Alone Lookalike Son Is Compared To Kevin McCallister Daily

A mum has voiced her frustration after her son, Evan Annable, is mistaken for Home Alone's Kevin McCallister almost every day.

Andrea Annable's ten-year-old Evan is often stopped by fans of the movie, who believe he looks the spitting image of Macaulay Culkin.

Culkin, of course, is now 40 years old - but that doesn't stop eager fans of the show stopping the little boy in disbelief.

Derbyshire based kitchen assistant Andrea, 42, said: "We'll be in the shops and someone will come up and say 'Do you know who your little boy looks like?'

"I just think 'Oh here we go again'. It's a daily occurrence. We've had it thousands of times.

"One time Evan was in hospital with a broken arm and even the staff were coming up and saying it to him.

"Just about everyone we've come into contact with has said it. It's like 'we know, we know!'"

She went on: "We get it a bit more near Christmas time because everyone's watching the films. But he's always looked a bit like him.

"Evan does like the films but it's not like he watches the films and models himself on him.

"Thankfully he hasn't done anything that happens in the film either. I think you'd have to be blind not to see it. He could be his double from back in the day."

Following in the footsteps of his actor double, Evan is also trying to make it as a movie star, having appeared in comedy film Swimming With Men (2018), as well as a recent Sony's Tiny Pop advert.

He's not the only famous lookalike who often gets mistaken for a star - but Emma Watson lookalike Kari Lewis is a bit more partial to the attention.

The 31-year-old revealed she first got stopped in the street back in 2001, aged just 12, after the first Harry Potter film was released.

As the years went on, the mum-of-one has become so famous for her likeness to the Little Women star that she's even been invited to dress up as Hermione Granger for conventions.

"When I worked at a restaurant, I would constantly get comments from customers who couldn't believe the resemblance," she said.

However, Kari now makes some extra cash off her likeness, often dressing up as as 30-year-old Emma Watson at events and selling videos on Cameo.
