Theatres have been shut since March, and it has meant we haven't been able to see any of our favourite shows in action.

That's why we were thrilled to hear that drive-in musical experiences are now a thing, so we can watch along safely from the comfort of our vehicles amid the ongoing pandemic.

Named Park n Party, the new experience, from One Agency, allows people to watch live performances from their cars, with the sound playing through their radios.

The films can be enjoyed on three large screens, and cost just £35 per car to attend.

Taking place in an outdoor carpark at Event City, Manchester, the contactless experience allows people to enjoy the magic of theatre without worrying about coming into contact with anybody who isn't from your household.

There are a whole range of shows taking place, including The Queen Experience on Friday 31st July and The Greatest Show on the 1st August.

The Mamma Mia Experience is also taking place on 2nd August, for all the ABBA fans out there.

The website reads: "Mamma Mia has become one of the best loved films of all time for all generations.

"Our performers hit every note of the ABBA classics, which will be sure to get everyone dancing in their car seats. Songs include: Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and many more."

We're sold.

It's not just musical performances, as there's also a live bingo show on the schedule and a pub karaoke session. Yaaas.

If you want to experience the drive-in theatre for yourself, you can grab a ticket here.

The cinema crew advise turning up half an hour before the show begins in order to grab your desired spot, but, so long as you have a ticket you're guaranteed a place in the carpark.

And singing along is positively encouraged, so get those vocal chords warmed up and ready!
