'Changing Rooms' Could Be Getting A Channel 4 Reboot

More Linda, Laurence and Handy Andy? Yes please.

From Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's dramatic sleeves to the moment when Linda Barker's floating shelves crashed down on a collection of antique teapots, Changing Rooms was TV gold.

Now the 90s classic could be getting a reboot from Channel 4, over 15 years after the interiors-themed makeover series first hit our screens.

Hosted by Carol Smilie, the popular show saw interior designers like Laurence and Linda complete lightening-speed home makeovers to create some truly, erm, one-of-a-kind spaces.

Who could forget this 'artistic' bedroom with hysterical MDF columns added to a four-poster bed?

Or the purple love nest below, complete with star and moon motifs and draped canopy? Oh-so-romantic!

After debuting on BBC Two way back in 1996, the programme moved to BBC One, where it ran until its final episode in the winter of 2004.

The show's simple format combined with the lavish visions of its resident designers and often displeased reactions from homeowners made it a hit with viewers - and the show remains a nostalgic cult favourite.

Now Channel 4 has said that it is "exploring" the possibility of a Changing Rooms reboot, though further details are yet to be revealed.

Speaking to The Radio Times, a Channel 4 spokesperson said: "We are exploring the idea, but nothing is confirmed."

Could we see the likes of DIY whizz Andy Kane, AKA Handy Andy, back on our tellies?

There's certainly an appetite for reimagined 90s TV at the moment (we're looking at you, Supermarket Sweep and Ready Steady Cook) and TV bosses may want to jump on that wave.

Talking about a possible Changing Rooms return, a source told The Sun: "Not only did it spawn a long line of copycat makeover shows, it still retains a cult following among a whole generation of fans.

"C4 execs would like to tap back into some of that telly magic and exploit the current nostalgia for bygone shows."

Telly gods, PLEASE make this happen.
