Netflix has no time for anyone questioning Brie Larson's credentials, as the streaming giant just clapped back at a Twitter troll in the most epic way.

Last week, Netflix dropped the trailer for Unicorn Store (of which Brie has directed and stars in).

"So excited to share the trailer for Unicorn Store, @brielarson's directorial debut and an absolutely charming, heartfelt, exploration of the things that drive us and the creativity that adulthood often tries to extinguish," the Netflix film account wrote.

But one follower claimed Brie was "riding Captain Marvel's wave", branding the trailer - which was originally liked and retweeted over 80,000 times - "bleh".

"Lol this looks like bleh. Take notes from Jonah Hill, who was mentored by Martin Scorsese, and took years before he made his directorial debut out of respect for the artistry of film and the position of director," they wrote. "This seems like she's just riding Captain Marvel's wave."

Twitter

Brie, of course, was the first female lead in a Marvel Comics movie with Captain Marvel, and has a huge number of accolades and awards under her belt, so, while he's entitled to his opinion, this seems unfair.

Netflix decided to fire back at the Twitter troll, who has since deleted his tweet, with some facts.

The streaming giant wrote: "Brie Larson has: 58 acting credits 53 award noms 2 writing credits 2 short film directing credits 1 composing credit 1 producing credit 1 Oscar 1 feature directing credit Been working since 1998 Worked with Apatow, Baumbach, Wright, Boden, Fleck, Abrahamson, and more."

Fans were quick to show their own support for the movie star, with one writing: "Netflix #1 brie STAN I LOVE THAT."

"SO PROUD OF YOU BRIE," exclaimed somebody else, while a third shared: "Talented. brilliant. incredible. amazing. showstopping. spectacular."
