Love Island had a bit of a delayed start this year due to everything happening with Coronavirus, but we seem to have arrived at Casa Amor week in no time at all, meaning we're almost half-way through the 2021 summer of love already.

All good things must come to an end eventually though. So here's a rundown on how long the show will air for and when we should see our series 7 winners being announced in the final episode.

How many weeks does Love Island go on for?

The first episode aired on Monday 28th June at 9pm and the show will air for eight weeks as the hopeful young singles find love - and win the cash prize of £50,000.

Is Love Island on every night?

Love Island is on 6 nights of the week from Sunday-Friday. The show airs on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 9pm.Love Island is also on Britbox the morning after.

There's also a podcast called The Morning After which is hosted by former contestants Join Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free each morning.

Love Island doesn't air on Saturdays to give the cast and crew a day off. On Sundays, Love island: Aftersun follows the show at 10pm, where former contestants and anybody who is dumped from the Island the week before get together and discuss the week's drama.

When is the Love Island final?

This year, the Love Island finale, where the winning three couples will be announced, takes place on Friday 20th August 2021.

The winning couples are decided by a public vote and the couple in first place is then handed the £50,000 cash prize and asked how they might spend it.

It's soon after the finale that viewers turn their eyes to all of the remaining couples and see which ones stay together.

Love Island is on weeknights at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub . The episodes are available to stream on BritBox the following morning.
