Vicky Pattison has shared a body confidence post in a effort to prove how social media can be ‘misleading’.

The 35-year-old took to Instagram after realising that her page was filled with ‘far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads’.

Let’s be real, we’re all guilty of posting our best snaps and angles on the gram but Vicky is encouraging her fans to not get ‘hung up’ on the ‘perfect side of social media as she unveils her ‘wrinkles’ and ‘cellulite’ in her newly shared shots.

The compilation of selfies include a bathroom bikini picture and up close and personal selfies from the reality TV personality’s bed.

“Social media can often be misleading,” Vicky says at the start of her caption. “After nothing more than a quick scroll through Instagram it can convince you that everyone has the perfect body, no one ever takes a bad picture, everyone's skin is perfectly smooth and they all have their sh*t together...

“I'd like to think I show both sides of the coin on my Instagram... but after a little flick through this morning I realised there were probably far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads- so here is some of my reality- a reality that I am not only not ashamed of, but f**king proud of.”

The 2015 I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner adds: “I am 35, I have wrinkles, cellulite, dimpled skin, tummy rolls, absolutely NO lips compared to everyone else on here it seems and double chins... I have good angles and bad, I have good days and bad... and none of this makes me any less of a good person or less deserving of self love."

Vicky reminded her followers that they are 'special'. She wrote: "Don't get too hung up on the 'perfect' side of social media, don't let those images effect how you see yourself and your self worth- because behind every single one of those glam shots were a million more like this... That society has tried to tell us are in some way less desirable but if you ask me, there's far more beauty to be found in the real, in the raw... So be kind to yourself today and everyday for that matter.

"You are special, beautiful and deserving of love regardless of what clothes size you wear, whether your kitchen is tidy or whether your skin is perfectly smooth..."

She finished her powerful statement with another testament to self love. "Don't let Instagram and all of its bullsh*t convince you otherwise.. Don't let it change you- you're YOU... and that is your superpower."

Vicky's followers were over the moon with her kind reminder.

"You’re a champion for this, you’ll genuinely have helped so many people," one Instagram user declared.

"Thanks for the reminder Vicky x," another proud follower responded.

While another fan shared: "You’ve no idea how badly I needed to see this I’m in the process of recovering from bulimia after a long 13 year battle and seeing how real and refreshing you are is a massive help to me. You’re absolutely gorgeous."
