Jackass star Steve-O regrets how his relationship with Stacey Solomon ended.

So, the pair met in 2015 while filming The Jump for Channel 4 and hit it off - talk about an unlikely pairing.

Their six-month relationship saw the daredevil make a few public appearances with Solomon and he even became part of Stacey's kids' lives.

Things seemed to be going well, with Stacey telling Hello Magazine: "I have no idea how it happened – I get really embarrassed [mentioning it]. We're just seeing how it goes at the moment.

"I remember feeling like this independent woman who was like, 'No! I don't want to be with anybody. Stay away.’

“My focus is on my children and my work and then it got to the end of the show and, for some reason, I wasn't happy about the fact that I might never see him again and it went from there."

But, things didn't last, and while details of their split weren't made public, Steve has now explained that he acted like a right plonker.

In his new book A Hard Kick In The Nuts, Steve-O told fans what went down: "I was smitten, I lavished her with attention, I got what I wanted and then I broke it off.

“I had become not only part of her life, I’d become part of her kids’ lives too. And then — poof — I was gone."

Yep, not exactly the words of a prince, but hey it's Halloween, so we guess ghosting is kind of on-theme?

Jokes aside, Steve-O feels pretty terrible about the whole thing: "To this day, I still beat myself up about the way it went down.

"Ironically, I don’t think Stacey does. We aren’t in touch anymore, but she has corresponded with my family and seems to bear no ill toward me.

"She seems to be a happy person who can go through life without gigantic grudges, even when they might be totally justified. What a freak."

Stacey went on to marry Joe Swash in July this year, in the cutest wedding we have ever seen.

Meanwhile, Steve-O is currently engaged to Lux Wright.

We guess everything worked out for the best, eh?
