Sister Wives stars Meri and Kody Brown announce split after 32 years of marriage

Sister Wives stars Meri and Kody Brown announce split after 32 years of marriage

More than three decades of marriage is over between the stars of Sister Wives

Sister Wives stars Kody and Meri Brown have confirmed that they are separating and bringing an end to their 32 years together as a married couple.

They have starred together in the long-running reality TV show which has followed their life and polygamous family since 2010.

However, it looks as though things are over for the couple after recent revelations about their relationship appeared to signal the end of their time together.

According to People, Meri confirmed the split in Sister Wives: One on One after she was shown a clip of Kody saying he doesn't consider himself to be married to her.

In the clip, he said 'if she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn't get an argument with me', and was asked how she felt about what her spiritual husband had said.

She said: "It just doesn't make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine and be like, 'She just made this decision. We didn't consult, we didn't talk, she just made the decision and then he says, 'No, I don't consider myself married to Meri.'

"Like, he just made the decision. I've never heard him say that to me. Even since being in Flagstaff, he has led me to believe that he was trying."

"You know, our first anniversary that we had here in Flagstaff, it was cheers to a new beginning as opposed to this last anniversary he's like, 'I don't even know why you called me Meri.' He's like, 'We're not married. We're not acting as married."

Meri went on to say she asked Kody that if they were no longer acting as married 'don't you think that we should address that publicly', and says he told her 'I don't want to address it', and 'don't want that judgment'.

Saying her former husband had 'already made the decision', she said she 'definitely would' be open to getting back together but thought it probably wasn't going to work out as she doesn't think Kody is interested in making it work.

Meri was Kody's first legal wife, marrying him in 1990 several years before he wed Janelle and Christine, who have also split up with him.

Legally they divorced in 2014 so Kody could tie the knot with fourth wife Robyn, who joined the family in 2010, but as with his other wives they said they would remain 'spiritually married'.
