Rachel Mee's brother posted to Facebook to announce the devastating news to close friends, family and neighbours.

Rachel Mee's family have spoken following the shock death of the model and social media star.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by her friend Claire Robinson, Mee had lost 'her battle with the pressures of this world' on 18 December - though Mee's cause of death was not disclosed.

The model became a mum for the first time earlier this year, with son Kyro losing his mum days before his first Christmas.

Mee, who also went by Rachel Kaitlyn, had over 40k followers on Instagram and her content was also known on TikTok as well as OnlyFans.

She also had her own business Rachel Mee Crystal Creations, where she created bikinis, crystal dresses and more.

On Monday, Mee's older brother Connor broke the devastating news on social media that she had died.

In a post on Facebook, Connor said: "As many of you know my little sister Rachel Mee passed away suddenly yesterday morning.

"As a family we are overwhelmed by everyone’s messages and support and there are far too many to reply too.

"We are absolutely devastated by her loss, she was a sister, aunt, niece & mum to her beautiful boy Kyro and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

"Rachel was loved so much by a lot of people, but only a few knew the real Rach."

Other tributes have been pouring in for Mee following the announcement of the devastating news.

MMA fighter Joshua Vogel, family friend and former neighbour, pledged that all the proceeds of his next fight in February would go into a fund to help Mee's family.

He posted: "She was loved by so many people and a lot of people close to me who I also grew up with are supporting her family. You know who you are.
