Pink fan throws mum's ashes on stage leaving singer stunned

The singer was praised for the way she handled the unusual situation

Forget flowers or handwritten signs; one Pink fan decided to show their dedication to the singer by throwing their mum's ashes on to the stage as she performed.

The pop star, who has been impressing fans across the globe with her ongoing Summer Carnival tour, was wowing audience members at her gig in Hyde Park, London when the unusual interaction is said to have taken place.

Pink was just getting things started, having only made her way through the first few songs in her setlist before she began to perform the popular track 'Just Like a Pill'.

In the middle of the performance, Pink saw something fly on to the stage and bent down to pick it up.

In a video shared online, the singer could be seen turning back to the audience and asking, "This is your mum?"

Holding a clear plastic bag seemingly filled with the mother's cremated remains, she added: "I don't know how to feel about this."

The singer looked to the rest of the crowd with a confused look on her face before gently placing the 'gift' of the ashes on the ground and attempting to get back into the swing of things by continuing on with the song.

It's unclear exactly what happened to the bag of ashes as the set went on, but internet users have been left entirely baffled by the situation after it emerged online.

Alongside the video, which has been viewed almost 200,000 times, one person wrote: "Someone gave their Mothers ashes to Pink. I need yall to have boundaries like girl what?!"

Other Twitter users shared in the confusion, with one commenting: "like what is she supposed to do with them[?]"

Another added: "Throwing your mothers remains at a Pink concert is quite the choice…"

A lot of viewers have praised Pink for the way she handled the bizarre situation, with one writing: "It was the complete look of shock/confusion on [Pink's] face for me. She handled that well because that was really strange."

The offering of the ashes marks the latest in shocking on-stage encounters some performers have had recently, with Bebe Rexha, Harry Styles and Ava Max all among those to make headlines.

Rexha had to be taken to hospital recently after a fan threw a mobile phone at her during one of her gigs, and just days later Max was attacked by a fan who had managed to climb on to the stage with her.

Things were slightly less dramatic for Styles, who found himself being battered by flowers as fans tossed them on to the stage while he performed.
