Harry Styles ‘attacked’ by flowers on stage during concert

Fans got a bit too carried away as they tried to give Styles some flowers

Fans at Harry Styles' gig in Cardiff were so keen to shower him with affection that they were later accused of 'attacking' him - they just happened to use flowers as their weapon.

The British star returned to the UK to perform in Wales this week as part of his ongoing 'Love on Tour' gigs, and naturally he was met with the sight of thousands of screaming fans the moment he took to the stage.

Fans have been going all-out to prepare for the events, with many taking the time to pick out their best pink cowboy hats and feather boas, and scrawling loving messages on signs in the hopes that they'll be able to catch the singer's attention.

Among the props fans have been packing for Styles' gigs are long-stemmed flowers, which are meant to be a nod to his song 'Grapejuice'.

In the track, Styles sings: "Yesterday, it finally came, a sunny afternoon / I was on my way to buy some flowers for you."

The singer clearly states that he was the one who wanted to go and buy some flowers, but fans in Cardiff decided to save him a job by picking them up for him.

And rather than nicely presenting Styles with a flourishing bouquet, or even throwing the flowers gently at his feet, the fans full-on launched their gifts straight into Styles' body.

Footage of the slightly violent offering was shared on TikTok after being filmed by a fan at the gig, who captioned the video: "Harry being ‘attacked’ by flowers tonight."

More than a dozen flowers seemed to be launched towards the stage as Styles launched into 'Grapefruit', with one bouquet hitting him directly in the legs and causing him to try and protect himself from the incoming onslaught.

His efforts to keep the flowers away from his face came after he was smacked in the face by a bouquet on Tuesday (21 June), just after finishing his gig.

The pink flowers hit Styles in the face as he hopped down some stairs, causing him to reach his hand to his face, but he quickly recovered and continued waving to fans.

Thankfully the singer seemed happier at the influx of colourful gifts last night, grinning behind the mic as he continued his song.

It's definitely the better scenario of things being thrown on stage recently, as earlier this month, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face when a mobile phone came flying her way as she was performing in New York.

Rexha collapsed to the floor after being hit and later had to be taken to hospital to receive stitches above her left eye.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attack, but since Styles wasn't injured by his fans, it seems unlikely that any similar actions will come to those who got a bit too carried away with their flowers.
