People Are Reminiscing On Nick Lachey And Jessica Simpson's Marriage

People are reflecting on Nick Lachey's marriage to Jessica Simpson following the success of his Netflix dating shows Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum.

TikTok creator @kelvymac got people talking when she gave fans a quick recap of the singer-turned-presenter's dating history before he married his now-wife Vanessa.

While some younger viewers confessed they only knew of Nick and Vanessa Lachey from their Netflix reality dating shows, plenty were familiar with the singers previous, very public marriage to Jessica Simpson in the early 2000's.

Not one to shy away from the limelight, Nick flaunted his first marriage on camera, too, on their MTV reality series Newlyweds, which lasted three seasons before their divorce in 2006.

Social media users took to the comments to discuss the addictive show - as well as Nick and Jessica's rather tumultuous marriage.

"These comments make me feel old because I used to watch his TV show with Jessica Simpson," wrote one user after reading one too many Love Is Blind comments.

"I loved that show so much I went out and bought the 3 seasons on dvd," replied another.

"Yesss I remember this! I was devastated when they split up," added a third.

A fourth fan wrote: "I loved their show! Jessica was so funny!" and a fifth admitted: "I was such a sucker for this show- I watched every episode."

It wasn't long before fans were digging up one of the most iconic scenes from Newlyweds, when a confused Jessica Simpson asked her husband a rather baffling question about tuna.

"I think this is when he knew their relationship was over. lmao," commented one fan, looking back on the phenomenal reality TV moment.

"Being older and understanding why it didn’t work out lol," wrote another.

It wasn't long after his split from Jessica Simpson that Nick started dating Vanessa Minnillo (now Lachey), after she starred in one the music video for his song What's Left Of Me.

After a brief split in 2009 (which eventually served as inspiration for The Ultimatum), the couple married in 2011 and have since had three children together.
