Ne-Yo has responded after his wife accused him of cheating on her for eight years.
The ‘One in a Million’ hitmaker has asked for 'privacy' after Crystal Renay, who is the mother to their three children; Shaffer, six, Roman, 4 and Isabela, 13 months, shared an explosive Instagram post about his alleged infidelity.
Ne-Yo also has two children; Madilyn, 11 and Mason, 10 with his ex, Monyetta Shaw.

Crystal wrote on Instagram: “8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected...every last one of them [sic]! To say I'm heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.
“I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is happening it isn't. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect."
She also asked her followers to refrain from sending her ‘videos or information’ about the R&B singer-songwriter’s alleged cheating.

“What he does is no longer my concern,” she retorted.
“If someone can't love you the way you deserve, then it's up to you to love yourself," Crystal added. "With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best."
Ne-yo ‘liked’ her post however his official response came on Sunday (31 July) in which he tweeted that he would like the couple’s ‘personal matters’ to remain private.
"For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors,” he explained without denying any of Crystal’s allegations.

He went on: "Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family's privacy at this time."
The couple got married in 2016 however in February 2020, the Ne-Yo – whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith – announced that he and Crystal ‘decided to go ahead and get a divorce’.
Speaking on the Private Talks with Alexis Texas podcast, he divulged: "Long story short, she's got demons just like everybody else, just like me.
“We realize that our demons don't mesh and until both of us get a hold of our personal demons, it's gonna be just difficult for us to stay married. With that being said, that's that, that's the end of that chapter, not the end of the book. Like I said, that's the mother of my kids and I love her to death. We're going to be family forever."

Despite the divorce announcement, the couple got back together during the Covid-19 pandemic and they renewed their vows in April this year.
