Naomi Campbell welcomes second child aged 53

Congratulations to Naomi Campbell as the supermodel becomes a mother for the second time.

The 53-year-old recently announced the news on Instagram, along with a beautiful photo of her newborn son's hand.

In a loving tribute to her little one, she gushed about her newborn on Instagram sharing a sweet photograph of her holding his hand and his sister's.

Campbell's caption then read: "My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God, blessed! Welcome Babyboy."

Adding a sweet blue heart emoji and a baby bottle, she continued 'it’s never too late to become a mother' - taking aim at her critics.

And it's understandable why the 53-year-old would want to make such a statement.

Back in May 2021, the British model welcomed her first child, with many criticising her for becoming a mum later in life.

Sharing a picture of her baby's feet, she wrote: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.

"So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."

A year later, she famously posed with her young daughter on the cover of Vogue and hit out at critics as she confirmed that her daughter was her biological child.

She pointedly told the outlet: "She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child."

After this, Campbell has largely kept her daughter out of the spotlight - with a few rare Instagram posts of her little one here and there.

The model has also never revealed her name, but gave a rare insight to her daughter's personality during the Vogue interview.

“I’m lucky my little one loves to travel like me – no whimpering taking off or landing,” she proudly told the fashion magazine.

She added: "She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot."

With Campbell so fiercely protecting her children's privacy, many fans will be hoping that the supermodel also will pose with her son after today's happy news.

Meanwhile, Campbell has been inundated with well-wishes from fashion's biggest names.

Designer and socialite Donatella Versace was overjoyed by the news writing: "Congratulations Omi!!"

Other thrilled A-listers soon began to join in such as Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski - both of whom sent well wishes.

Meanwhile, fellow supermodel Claudia Schiffer simple wrote: "Congratulations!"
