Matty Healy’s dad Tim Healy responds to Taylor Swift relationship rumours
This comes after reports suggested Matty Healy and Taylor Swift would go public with their relationship this weekend
Tim Healy has responded to rumours his son, 1975 frontman Matty Healy, is dating pop star Taylor Swift.
Some six weeks ago, Taylor was said to have parted ways with long-term partner Joe Alwyn after six years together.
Speculation grew around the couple's split from US news outlets, with Entertainment Tonight breaking the news that their breakup was 'amicable' and 'not dramatic'.
CNN collaborated those reports, saying that the couple had grown apart and ended up going their separate ways months ago.

However, to this day, neither Taylor nor Joe have publicly confirmed or denied the split.
Nonetheless, speculation about the singer's next romance has been swirling in recent weeks, with it all starting with F1 driver Fernando Alonso.
Hardly denying the speculation, Fernando posted a TikTok where he was filmed sitting in a chair checking his phone before briefly looking up and winking at the camera and then turning his gaze back down to his phone.
The video was shared with a sped up version of Swift's 'Karma' playing over the top, adding more fuel to the fire.
Fernando aside, reports have now suggested Taylor has a new man on the block.
The 'Bad Blood' hitmaker is reportedly dating the 1975's Matty Healy, with him set to join her ongoing Eras tour this weekend at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
According to The Sun, the pair will reportedly go public with their relationship with an 'on-stage' announcement.
The source close to the newspaper said: "Taylor and Matty have been planning their 'coming out' for a few weeks now, and are really excited just to go public with their love.
"Neither of them want any secrets, or to hide away. The plan is for Matty to walk out on stage mid-show and play two songs."
Now, Matty's dad, Tim Healy, has entered the debate with the rumour mill now swirling even more.
One fan took to Twitter to speculate on the romance, saying: "The thought of Denise Welch and Tim Healy being in-laws to Taylor Swift is very, very funny."
Tim replied to the tweet simply asking: "Why?" which has sent fans into meltdown as to what may be going on.
Many asked the Benidorm actor to elaborate on his tweet, but he is yet to do so.
Nonetheless, it appears we will hear more about this apparent romance this weekend.
