Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson speaks out following her pregnancy announcement

The DJ reacted after Lindsay shared the amazing news with the world

Just hours after Lindsay Lohan announced her surprise pregnancy yesterday, her DJ ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson sent out a heartfelt message.

Lohan, 36, announced yesterday via Instagram that she is expecting her first child with financier husband, Bader Shammas.

Taking to her Instagram feed, she posted a simple image of baby clothes that featured the words ‘coming soon’.

She also kept it short and sweet in the caption, writing: “We are blessed and excited!”

The pregnancy post itself attracted a slew of congratulatory comments from Lohan’s celebrity friends.

Paris Hilton wrote: “Congratulations love! So happy for you. Welcome to the Mommy Club!”

Bella Thorne expressed her shock by saying: “OMG Congrats!”

And now Ronson has also responded to the news.

The actor revealed the pregnancy news yesterday (14 March).

Pop culture fans will remember that Lohan and Ronson struck up a whirlwind romance in 2008.

The short-lived relationship fizzled out in April 2009.

Following the split, Lohan told E News! that she was 'taking a break from Sam to focus on myself'.

Reflecting on the romance in 2012, she told US Weekly: "I was bold enough to say, ‘Yeah, I like a girl. And?’ That put her in a situation where she was being attacked every day. That’s not fair.

"I needed to love myself first before I could be with anyone. And I was going through a lot.

"Two toxic people cannot be together. End of story."

Ten years later, Lohan took to The Howard Stern Show to express the duo’s mutual feelings towards one another.

She professed that she and Ronson were still 'friends'. She further elaborated by saying: "We were always more like best friends."

Therefore, it definitely seems like the Mean Girls star and her ex-girlfriend are in a better place now.

When Ronson, 45, was asked about the pregnancy announcement, she told TMZ she was happy for her former flame.

“I wish her all the best,” the British-born DJ told the media outlet yesterday (14 March).

“It's always great news when someone is expecting a baby.”

Since breaking up with Ronson in 2009, Lohan has gone on to date Nico Tortorella and Egor Tarabasov.

She is now happily married to Shammas, 36.

The duo announced their engagement in November 2021 and were shortly married in April 2022.

However, the couple decided to keep the news private. The marriage announcement didn’t hit the press until July.

At this moment in time, it’s not known when Lohan and Shammas will welcome their first child.

However, one thing we do know, is that it’s definitely on the way soon.
