Anna Camp has proudly announced she's bisexual, less than a year after going public with her first same-sex relationship.

In a clip obtained from her upcoming appearance on the I've Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast, the actress claimed a recent birthday sparked the decision to embrace her sexuality.

At 43, Camp had previously been married twice, both times to men. She divorced fellow TV star Michael Mosley in 2013 after three years, and split from Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Austin in 2019 after a similar period.

Last year, however, she made her red carpet debut with brand new girlfriend Jade Whipkey. After confirming their new LGBTQ+ relationship in February, the pair attended the Bride Hard premiere in Los Angeles in June, looking pretty loved-up as they posed together for the papz.

Their 18-year age gap set tongues wagging at the time, with writer and on-set stylist Whipkey having been 24 when she and Camp, then 42, first got together. The True Blood actress even went as far as to address this criticism.

"Thought I’d jump on here since I follow @pinknews and just say I’ve dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them," Camp wrote. "We have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything."

In a new update, however, the star has since set the record straight regarding her sexuality - something she's 'very proud' to do 'at this age'.

"I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticising and judging and making assumptions," Camp is seen telling DiDario in a clip from the upcoming pod.

Going on to recall experiencing 'a major evolution in my 40s and not being afraid of it', she added: "Sure, there are times I feel like I am taking a risk and this is scary, and I’m doing it in a public forum.

"But to say, ‘No, I only get one life, and I want to be happy,’ that’s what life is all about."

Camp continued: "You think you've got this idea of who you are and that's how your life is going to go, and that's happened to me several times in my life, where I thought that I knew what was happening.

"And it could have stopped in that way. I could have settled. I could have said, no, I'm done evolving."
