There is no questioning divorces can be rather messy, while you hope it can be all amicable, that is often not the case.
And if you are a celebrity, these separations are of course in the public eye - not something all of us have to deal with, luckily.
Two famous faces who have very much had their split documented in the limelight is Kevin Costner, 68, and Christine Baumgartner, 49.
In fact, the pair - who had been married for 18 years - apparently still live with each other despite their separation, with Kevin claiming his estranged wife will not move out of his home.

On Wednesday (14 June), Christine was seen at their $145 million beachfront mansion in Carpinteria, California.
As per Entertainment Weekly, court documents suggest Christine agreed that, in the event of a divorce, Kevin would have exclusive possession and use of his separate property homes.
It added that Christine should vacate any separate property family residence within 30 days of the filing of a divorce petition.

The former couple have been separated for over a month, with Christine officially filing for a divorce on 1 May.
Despite that, she is reportedly yet to move out of the property, much to Kevin's annoyance.
According to court documents, Kevin has asked his estranged wife multiple times and has even assisted her in finding a new home with financial support.
The docs state Christine has taken the position she will not move out of the property until Kevin agrees to various financial demands.

Kevin claims in the docs he has already made a contribution to Christine's attorney's and accountant's fees, while he has also paid the $1,200,000 (£948,000) due to her under the terms of their prenup.
He is also paying all the child expenses, with the couple having Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14 and Grace, 13, together.
In Christine's divorce filing, she cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the separation.

Following that, Kevin's representatives released the following statement to Fox News: "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.
"We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."
