Katie Price launches into furious rant after follower said she shouldn’t be allowed to own animals

She was forced to defend herself after a number of her pets died

Katie Price has launched into a furious rant in a live video with fans after one of her followers said she shouldn’t be allowed to own animals.

Price, 45, is known to be an animal lover, having had a variety of pets over the years including dogs, horses and even chameleons.

Sadly, her pet dog Blade recently died after being hit by a car, with the former glamour model paying tribute to her ‘best friend’ on Instagram.

“Worlds can’t express the [loss] of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today,” she wrote.

“I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.”

Blade was the eighth animal to die in Price’s home over the past few years, prompting a Change.org petition online calling for a ban on the star from ‘buying anymore animals’.

She also lost her Pomeranian, Sharon, in November after it escaped onto a busy road and was struck by a car – a similar fate that also met Alsatians Sparkle in 2020 and Queenie in 2018.

In July 2020, puppy Rolo died just three weeks after being given to Price's daughter Princess as a gift for her 13th birthday, having passed away from suffocation.

In an Instagram Live, Price was forced to defend herself after fans suggested she shouldn’t be allowed to own pets.

While taking them on a tour around her house, she told followers that the RSPCA had been to her home and deemed it suitable for animals.

She said: "Who said I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why? I’m going to prove you f**kers wrong who say and believe everything.

She said the RSCPA deemed her home safe for animals.

"It’s like my driving licence someone says I shouldn’t drive for medical reasons, someone from the public said it and I proved them wrong. I had the RSPCA out and they ticked every box to say my animals are healthy - they ticked every box.”

Referring to the document the RSPCA had given her, Price said: “I can’t be bothered to go on the top floor… or shall I just to prove a point? Or is it over here? Let me have a look."

She added: "I’m going to prove to you lot the RSPCA have been here, done an inspection and I passed everything."

Commenting on Price’s tribute to late pet Blade, some of her fans stuck up for her, with one writing: “Ridiculous… my hubby is a vet but we lost 3 labradors within 1 year through illness … no one has any idea what has gone on at all stop speculating!!!!”

Another said: “There seem to be so many haters on this page. Why do you bother if you don’t like her. All speculating as usual! Sorry for your loss.”
