Johnny Depp's ex-wife Lori Allison slams 'horrific' Amber Heard

Johnny Depp's ex-wife Lori Allison slams 'horrific' Amber Heard

Lori said that the trial 'broke her heart'.

Johnny Depp's first wife Lori Allison has lashed out at Amber Heard, describing her as 'horrific' one year on from the ex-couple's dramatic defamation trial.

Lori, a professional make-up artist who was married to Depp from 1983 to 1985, admitted that the Heard v Depp trial broke her heart' to watch.

Overall, Lori kept quiet while the highly publicised defamation trial was underway last year, but now that a settlement between Heard and Depp has been agreed, she's airing out all her thoughts on the lengthy courtroom battle - and on Heard.

In her interview with Popcorned Planet, Lori said that she had previously met Heard before.

"I had met her before," she revealed.

"I'd been to parties at his house and she seemed really nice and she was gorgeous and what's not to love?

"But as the time went by and I would hear things about her - she who shall not be named - he didn't seem too happy all the time.

"I didn't see him a lot so I can't really say."

So, when she saw the ins and outs of Depp and Heard's rocky relationship play out in court, Lori says it 'broke her heart'.

"I probably broke down several times because I felt really bad for him.

"He's very private - which is why I don't do interviews - and I think for him to come out so wholeheartedly was what he really needed to do.

"I thought it was either going to be an epic trainwreck or it was going to go really well."

She also said that she would call his close friend, Isaac Baruch, to ask if Depp was okay.

At the end of the seven week trial, it was determined that Depp would be awarded more than $10 million when the jury agreed that he had been defamed by Heard in an op-ed she had written for the Washington Post.

Heard was also awarded $2m in damages for her own counterclaim, with a spokesperson for the Aquaman star telling The New York Times that she was planning to appeal the verdict.

She later released a statement on Instagram, saying that she was 'heartbroken' by the ruling.

Lori added: "I'm no angel, I've done my share of s****y things to people but what she did was absolutely horrific and if there were things that I could do to her that were legal I would do them! I would."

Speaking on how she feels about her ex-husband now, she said: "He's really generous, he has the biggest heart of someone I've ever met.

"I love him to pieces and I get all goofy eyed when I think about him and his future, our past.

"I want nothing but the best for him and I hope he feels the same about me!

"Can I say bad things about him? I can say bad things about everybody but there's no reason to. He makes normal mistakes like other people do."
