Jessica Simpson has shocked her fans by sharing an image of herself peeing in the grass.
The controversial snap was posted to Instagram on 11 February and features the singer, 42, squatting over grass while a blue sheet protects her modesty.
Simpson captioned the eye-popping image: "When you gotta go, you gotta go. Set life #BTS."
Needless to say, the picture went far from unnoticed on the social media website, and Instagram users were quick to weigh in on Simpson's antics.

"I'm sorry but nobody needs to see that," slammed one viewer. "And it's not funny! Just attention seeking! So sad."
"What’s next a poop shot?" questioned a second. "We [are] all human but some things should be done in private and not advertised. It's NOT funny."
"This is weird," declared a third while a fourth wrote: "Don't they have bathrooms on set?!"
However, not everyone was so shocked by the image of the singer relieving herself.

One defensive Instagram user remarked: "Dude. These comments do not pass the vibe check. I'm sober and I've done this a million times. It's funny. You can’t see anything. She's always been goofy. Y'all are just looking for reasons to judge and hate. Get a better hobby."
A second agreed, writing: "Lighten up people - like you've never pee'd in a bush? She's human and wants you to know that! Bunch of snobbleheads [sic]."
The controversial snap comes after Simpson also hit the headlines after she opened up about a secret A-list filmstar who tried to seduce her.

She made the revelation in a short story entitled Movie Star: They Always Say They're Single.
The 42-year-old wrote: "This megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes."
The would-be fling took place at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, when Simpson was on a break from her now ex-husband, Nick Lachey.
While Simpson claimed that nothing happened at the 2001 awards, she decided to take the megastar up on his offer in 2006 after she had divorced Lachey.

Apparently, they kissed the Beverly Hills Hotel later in 2006 and the smooch left her with a 'warm rush all the way down [her] body.'
Well, as the old saying goes, some things are worth waiting for.
Although things didn't work out with the anonymous actor, apparently Simpson's current husband, Eric Johnson, 43, knows all about their liaison.

A source told US Weekly: "Jessica has been opening up about really everything. She still had some secrets, and she wanted to get them off her chest."
