Queen of the red carpet Jessica Chastain has debuted a breathtaking new look at this year’s Met Gala, and fans are saying she’s hit the nail on the head when it comes to the event’s dress code.

Chastain is no stranger to making a dramatic appearance, what with her viral red carpet moment with Oscar Isaac from 2022 began doing the rounds on social media again.

This year’s Met Gala - formally called the Costume Institute Gala - seems to be just another playground for Chastain, as she’s already making headlines with her bold new look.

This year’s Met Gala theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, in tribute to the late fashion designer, who died in 2019 from complications with pancreatic cancer.

The annual event is a mainstay on celebrity calendars, with Chastain regularly showing up in jaw-dropping outfits, such as her gorgeous ruby red Gilded Glamour outfit in 2022, and silky golden wonder way back in 2015.

However, at this year’s Gala, it isn’t her dress that has turned heads — it’s her hair!

Gone are the Eyes of Tammy Faye actor’s signature auburn locks and in their place is a cool platinum blonde head of hair.

Fans across social media have been going wild for Chastain’s brand new look, with one saying: “I was prepared for a lot tonight, but I was not prepared for the effect that blonde Jessica Chastain would have on me.”

Another wrote: “Now this is on point with the theme.”

A third agreed and said: “Omg she’s even prettier I didn’t know that would even be possible omg.”

Chastain is just one of the celebrities turning heads on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum this evening — with pop star Dua Lipa also being the name on everyone’s lips.

The co-chair of this year’s event was one of the first celebrities to hit the carpet, and she did it wearing a homage to Lagerfeld.

The Levitating singer opted to wear a 1992 Chanel tweed dress accessorised with a gigantic Tiffany & Co. Diamond necklace.

Fashion fans will already be familiar with the vintage Chanel gown, as it was famously worn by model, Claudia Schiffer, back in the 90s.

Speaking about her look, she told Variety that the dress was ‘very, very special’ and that the patrimony was ‘very kind to let it to me for tonight’.

Regarding her necklace, which is said to be worth more that $10 million, she said: “I feel very lucky that I get to wear it tonight. "It’s very special, it hasn’t been seen before. So I feel very lucky that I get to showcase it tonight at the Met Gala.”

Other celebrities in attendance of this year’s star-studded event include Doja Cat, Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney and model Karlie Kloss.
