Kylie Jenner’s daring Met Gala transformation did not go quite as smoothly as planned after the star suffered a beauty mishap once the night was over.
The founder of Kylie Cosmetics, 28, attended the 2026 Met Gala on Monday (4 May), stepping out in a custom Schiaparelli look for fashion’s biggest annual event.
The reality star wore a nude corset featuring faux nipples, paired with a dramatic butter duchess satin skirt designed to look as though it was slipping away from her body.
The outfit was among the more talked-about looks of the night, with the skirt reportedly embroidered with more than 10,000 natural baroque pearls, over 7,000 painted pearlescent fish scales, and over 2,000 satin stitch balls.

It is also said to have taken roughly 11,000 hours of embroidery work to complete.
However, while Kylie’s outfit made a major statement on the red carpet, it was her beauty look that caused problems later on.

As part of the overall transformation, the star had bleached her eyebrows for the event, leaving her with a striking, almost browless look.
After the Met Gala ended, though, Kylie shared the moment her team attempted to dye them back to their usual colour on social media — and the process appeared to go badly wrong.
Posting on her Instagram Stories, captioned ‘Trying to dye my brows back’ she filmed herself with one brow still bleached and the other dyed darker, laughing as she reacted to the result.
As reported by People, she said in the clip: “My brows are ruined. What is this? What the f**k is this?...This looks horrible.”
Celebrity hairstylist Iggy Rosales was also in the clip, with Kylie jokingly accusing him of leaving her ‘with no hair’ following the bold beauty choice.
The star had already hinted at the dramatic brow change before arriving at the event, sharing a photo of herself on Instagram Stories and writing: “I don't have any brows wish me luck.”
Rosales later explained that the beauty look had been designed to work alongside the Schiaparelli outfit.

Speaking to Vogue, he said: “The dress feels like it’s slipping away…It becomes this living sculpture.”
He added: “We even tested no brows just to see how far we could push it.”
Kylie’s appearance marked her ninth time attending the Met Gala. This year’s theme was ‘Costume Art’, with the formal dress code listed as ‘Fashion Is Art’.
The exhibition explored the relationship between clothing and the human body, with sections dedicated to the pregnant body, ageing body, and naked body, among others.
While the public will be able to view the exhibition from 10 May 2026 until 10 January 2027, celebrities, including Kylie, were given the first look on the night.
