When the rain starts to pour, or when you get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's all the same for Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow who proved they will absolutely be there for Courteney Cox.

The Friends co-stars reunited in Los Angeles yesterday (27 February) as Cox was celebrated for her work with one of the iconic stars located on Hollywood Boulevard.

Aniston and Kudrow appeared as guest speakers at the event and joked together as Kudrow explained that they'd been like 'sisters' since they'd first met nearly 30 years ago, prompting Aniston to respond: "No not 30 years, that's a typo."

Though we might be used to seeing Rachel, Monica and Phoebe stuck in their late 20s in early seasons of Friends, it has in fact been nearly three decades since the actors were brought together to bring the comedy show to the world.

Kudrow praised Cox at the event as she said it was her who 'really set [the Friends cast] up to become one of the closest, most loving and supportive casts' in what she said was 'the history of television'.

Aniston also spoke proudly of Cox to the crowd gathered in Los Angeles, where she said that 'to be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney'.

"She is responsible for all of that from the beginning,” Aniston continued. “When we met her she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you and you know I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan.”

Aniston shared another sweet tribute to Cox on Instagram.

The pair ended their speeches with heartfelt descriptions of Cox, with Kudrow saying she is 'the definition of a truly beautiful, talented, and, what's most important, a truly good and decent human being'.

Aniston added: "You're one of the funniest human beings on the planet Earth. Nothing makes me happier than a Courteney joke and always making us smile. And thank you for enriching our lives with your work. We are so proud of you."

Aniston was also pictured sitting alongside her goddaughter and Cox's daughter, Coco, as Cox received her star, and she shared another emotional tribute to her former co-star on Instagram after the event.

Aniston shared a sweet snap showing her hugging Cox and Kudrow yesterday, and compared it to a scene of the three women hugging in Friends.

Alongside the image, Aniston wrote: "Very proud of our girl @courteneycoxofficial today. I love these women with literally every ounce of my heart and soul. @lisakudrow and I were on a cloud being able to celebrate her and her incredible achievements."

Fellow actors have flooded Cox with congratulations over her star, with Reese Witherspoon responding to Aniston's post to say: "Wow!! Congrats @courteneycoxofficial !! So well deserved!!"
