After shooting to stardom at such a young age, Daniel Radcliffe admitted that he wouldn't want his future children to become famous.
Over the weekend, a spokesperson for the actor confirmed that he's expecting his first child with his long-term partner, Erin Darke.

The news came as quite a shock to Potterheads since the 33-year-old has been the face of millions of people's childhoods and now he's having his own baby.

Even though Radcliffe shared just how much fun film sets can be for children, he stressed that the 'fame' side of being a young star is the more challenging part.
The Woman in Black star definitely knows what he's talking about since a large chunk of his childhood involved being the titular character in a billion dollar franchise.

Radcliffe revealed his hopes to have children in the future back in October with Newsweek, where he touched on the impact fame at a young age can have.
"I want my kids - if and when they exist - I would love them to be around film sets," he shared.
"I wouldn’t want fame for my kid.

"Film sets are wonderful places. A lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids, but it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs."
After finding fame and the tender age of 12 when he starred in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the actor said he has different hopes for his own offspring.
Radcliffe has been in a relationship with Erin Dark, 38, for a decade after meeting on the set of the 2013 film Kill Your Darlings.
The British actor portrayed poet Allen Ginsberg in the film while Michigan-born Darke starred as Gwendolyn, a romantic interest.

Radcliffe is not the first Harry Potter star to expand his family. His co-star Rupert Grint, 34, who played Ron Weasley, has a three-year-old daughter named Wednesday with fellow actor Georgia Groome, 31.
The Snatch star welcomed his little one in 2020 and he shared details about the inspiration behind her unique moniker in January - as the Netflix series of the same name took over the world.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, he chatted about life as a dad when he was asked what inspired his daughter's name.

"Great name, by the way, Wednesday!" Fallon said, before asking: "Why Wednesday?"
Grint said: "Well... I mean, I'm always hesitant to say The Addams Family! But yeah, it was kind of The Addams Family.
"Just always loved the name... it kind of memorable."
