Chrissy Teigen Admits To Having Fat Removed From Her Face

Chrissy Teigen Admits To Having Fat Removed From Her Face

Chrissy shared details about the procedure on social media after celebrating 50 days sobriety.

Chrissy Teigen has revealed she had a cosmetic procedure to remove fat from her cheeks.

The model and author posted a video to her Instagram Stories after getting the buccal fat removal which was done by Dr Jason Diamond.

Watch the video below:

The buccal fat pad is a rounded mass of fat located in the middle of each cheek below the facial muscles in the hollow area beneath the cheekbone.

Everyone has buccal fat pads but the size varies in each individual. The size of the buccal fat pads can affect the shape of your face. For example, people with larger fat pads may feel like they have a “baby face”.

The fat pads are completely normal and there are no medical issues connected to having larger buccal fat pads.

Buccal lipectomy is the official medical term for cheek reduction surgery.

In related news, Chrissy recently celebrated 50 days of sobriety after deciding to ditch alcohol for good.

The mum-of-two celebrated on Instagram and admitted she had “a few hiccups” along the way, but remains committed to her pledge.

She wrote: “Today is my 50 day sobriety streak! It should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road. This is my longest streak yet!”

While she said she is unsure if she’ll never drink again, she claimed drinking no longer “serves” her in any way.

She added: “I don’t get more fun, I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night. I had my fun with it and appreciate anyone that can enjoy it responsibly!!!!”

Earlier this year, Chrissy was praised for speaking about pregnancy loss and urged people who were struggling to seek help and support.
