Chris Brown 'congratulates' ex Rihanna after Super Bowl pregnancy announcement

The singer appeared to celebrate Rihanna's pregnancy reveal

Chris Brown appears to have praised ex-girlfriend Rihanna after the star revealed her baby bump at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Fans of the Grammy award-winning singer are theorising exactly what Brown's message could mean.

Rihanna, 34, took to the stage last night (February 12) for an outstanding performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Fans have been sent into a frenzy after the 'Umbrella' singer provided everyone with a long-awaited 13 whole minutes covering over a decade and a half of her iconic discography.

With fans eager to see just what Rihanna would wear to the occasion, it's clear that many were not expecting a key part of the singer's ensemble.

Dressed head-to-toe in an all-red suit, complete with a quilted trailing jacket, Rihanna can be seen cradling what looks like a baby bump.

And the news has since been confirmed by one of Rihanna's representatives.

Rihanna already shares a nine-month-old boy, born last May, with her partner A$AP Rocky, yet revealed the news in a slightly less extravagant way.

Opting for casual cool, the singer debuted her baby bump in a casual photoshoot alongside partner A$AP Rocky in Harlem, New York City - definitely not as big a stage as the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Trust Rihanna to reveal her pregnancy suspended in the air at one of the most-watched events of the year.

Before it had been officially confirmed, the not-so-subtle hint of a second child sent the internet into a frenzy.

And ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, 33, was seemingly no exemption.

Taking to Instagram, Brown posted an ambiguous message on his story that has lead fans to believe he was congratulating Rihanna on the newest addition to her and Rocky's family.

Opting for simple but effective - Brown wrote ''Go girl' accompanied with a red heart and prayer emoji.

While the vague message doesn't directly praise Rihanna, fans were quick to pick up on the coincidental timing of it.

The pair reportedly first met in 2005 but began dating a few years later in 2007.

Just two years later, the two split in 2009 following a very controversial breakup after reports that Brown had physically assaulted her.

Photos of Rihanna's injuries were subsequently leaked by TMZ showing her face severely bruised and swollen.

As a result, Brown was convicted of the assault and received five years' probation and a community service order.

Rihanna and A$AP first confirmed their relationship in 2021 and have since been papped together in a whole heap of cute relationship moments.

Congratulations Rihanna and A$AP!
