Ant and Dec have done it again!

The dynamic duo have won the award for Best Presenter at the National Television Awards once again.

The pair have made history with the triumph on Thursday night (13 October), scooping up the award for best presenting duo for the 21st time.

Despite the I’m a Celebrity hosts not being present at this year’s ceremony, the pair metaphorically went into tonight’s award show with 20 wins under their belt for the Best Presenter category over the years, but another win this year has bumped them up to the big 21.

The pair faced tough competition on the night, running up against the likes of Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton, and Alison Hammond, who was also a favourite to win.

Ant and Dec have been forced to pull out of the National Television Awards due to illness - marking the first time that the pair won’t be attending after winning for the last 20 years.

The lifelong friends and presenters unfortunately contracted Covid-19, which the duo confirmed on Twitter.

They wrote: "Sadly, it’s true… We even get ill together! After feeling unwell a few days ago we both tested and we’re positive for Covid. We’re resting up at home and are so sorry we can’t be at #NTAs2022. Best of luck everyone and get well soon to anyone else in the same boat x"

Due to their unfortunate illness, they will also be missing out on presenting Britain's Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician, a special spin-off show, which has now been taken over by fellow TV presenter, Stephen Mulhern.

A Britain's Got Talent spokesperson told MailOnline: "Ant and Dec are both unwell and have postponed all work commitments until they recover.

"Sadly, this means they were unable to film Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician.

"Whilst we wish them a speedy recovery, we are thrilled to confirm that BGT’s favourite magician, Stephen Mulhern has stepped in."

In a post shared on social media, the account for the series said: "Over the years we’ve witnessed some of the most spellbinding magic acts take to the #BGT stage, now they’re going head-to-head with some of the world’s most talented magicians!
