Alison Hammond once appeared on Stars In Their Eyes - and we can't believe we never realised before!

Alison appeared on the celebrity edition of the talent show, presented by Cat Deeley, back in 2004 and sang My Baby Just Cares For Me by Nina Simone.

You can watch a clip below:

The episode aired 18 years ago and this week, Alison took to Instagram to share the throwback clip.

"Throw back to Stars In Their Eyes. Can you remember who I was? Love this," she wrote.

Chatting to Cat on stage before the appearance, Alison said: "I'm a little bit nervous now it seems real! I'm very very excited indeed."

And speaking about singing a Nina Simone song, Alison added: "She was born as Eunice Waymon in 1933, her most famous songs were I Love you Porgy and I Put A Spell On You. The song I'm going to do tonight got to number five in 1987 when it was used in a famous perfume ad."

Alison then said those all important words. "Tonight Cat, I'm going to be, Nina Simone."
