Bryan Ray is as diehard as Britney Spears fans come as the Los Angeles local has spent tens of thousands of pounds trying to actually look like the star, and insists he’s ‘not finished yet’.

Ray first started getting work done to look more like his idol when he was just 17 and claims he’s been ‘obsessed’ with the popstar for over two decades.

As a teenager, Ray got veneers so that his and Brit’s smiles would match, and 18 years later he’s spent over $120,000 (£106,975) on plastic surgery.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Ray explained: “I’ve been doing this since I was 17 and I am not finished. I am an ongoing work of art.”

Ray, who runs a medical marijuana edibles company, added: “Am I perfect? No, absolutely not. [But] when I look in the mirror at myself I am very happy.”

So far, he’s had cheek implants, a lip augmentation, two rhinoplasties and an eyelid lift. He also gets fillers and Botox every six months and has hair removal surgery every eight weeks.

Despite admitting he has no plans to stop getting surgery and says he’s ‘thrilled’ with the work, Ray told the paper he knows he’ll never look ‘exactly’ like the star, insisting: “[I] only want to resemble [Spears].”

“That was never something that was in my head, thinking I would look 100 percent like her,” he added.

He only wants to 'resemble' the singer rather than look 100 percent like her.

“I understand my face, my symmetry, my features and what I’ve done is work in collaboration with plastic surgeons to see what characteristics could be altered in a way that is inspired by Britney to resemble that look of hers.”

Ray has gained over 100,000 Instagram followers and is the first to admit that not everyone ‘gets’ what he’s doing.

“I do get that people don’t understand it. People might call me weird or crazy, but I think being open about it in the way I have will help eliminate the stigma.”

Ray went on: “It’s not for everyone, and I’m not encouraging everyone to go out and get plastic surgery, but I am encouraging everyone to be body positive in whatever way that looks like for you.”

Ray has met Spears ‘multiple’ times.

Ray - who has met Spears ‘multiple’ times - explained that it was one particular meeting with the Lucky hit-maker that he holds dearest.

“In all places, in Maui, in this tiny outdoor festival, I was meeting my idol.

"She wasn’t all glammed up like in the music videos and she had very minimal makeup, if any, but she was just so beautiful.”
