Britney Spears has admitted she felt like her father was trying to 'kill her'

Britney Spears has admitted she felt like her father was trying to 'kill her'

She's spoken out about the ordeal.

Britney Spears has admitted she felt like her father was trying to ‘kill her’ during her conservatorship, which lasted a lengthy 14 years.

The legal agreement that was set up by her father, Jamie Spears, ended last year.

Her father was also terminated as head of the guardianship - which controlled her personal affairs and finances.

Yesterday, the Toxic hitmaker, 40, took to Twitter to share an audio clip which seemed to attack her father, Jamie Spears.

The singer spoke about having to undergo countless MRI scans before being placed in a treatment facility during the early days of her conservatorship, which ended just under a year ago.

She said in the clip: “I had three MRIs before I went to that place, I wasn't complaining about anything, I was just told I had to go, it was my dad and I had no rights at the time, so I basically had to.”

The star initially wondered why she was forced to undergo such tests, and then remembered the need for one at age eight to check for a potential cyst.

She stated that she recalled being placed in the claustrophobic machine for 30 minutes in her childhood, whilst during the conservatorship, she had to remain there for an hour at a time.

“To me, the whole thing didn't make sense,” she stated. “The isolation, the nurses, the vials of blood, the constant communication.”

The tests even led her to believe that she could have been suffering from cancer, which her family refused to tell her about.

However, she was in fact ‘fine’, and believed that her family put her through that to ‘be mean’.

She said; “None of that is true - I'm fine, I'm alive.

“And the conclusion, the hardest thing is to know that they were just being mean and that I really felt like my dad was trying to kill me and I hope he burns in f***ing hell.”

The singer backed up her thoughts with a slew of tweets which described how she felt about the conservatorship ‘just ending’, rather than her father facing legal ramifications.

“I’m posting this for the second time today because I believe in a world where we all deserve justice!!!

She added: “15 years in a system of secretive and manipulative abuse … JUST ENDING IT has never been good enough for me and it will never be!!!”
