Mum makes ‘horror’ discovery after looking through branches of her Christmas tree

While looking at her Christmas tree, a mum was horrified to discovery a creature looking back at her.

With now only nine days to go till the big day, many of us will have put up or will be very soon putting up our Christmas trees.

The much-loved Christmas tradition is supposed to bring joy to joy to any household and spread Christmas cheer to all.

But this one woman had anything but Christmas cheer on the mind when she looked at her tree, as she noticed some eyes peering at her.

The mum named Gina posted a video to her TikTok account (@gina_premmama), which she simply captioned with the word 'help'. Watch it below:

In this 13-second clip, it appears Gina has the end of a broom as she uses it to move branches out of the way.

As she moves the final branch from the tree, she discovers two glaring eyes staring differently into her.

It is indeed a mouse, who does not seem exactly fazed by the woman, as Michael Buble’s ‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas’ plays over the top.

At time of writing, the video has over 2.7 million views on TikTok, with over 200k likes and 4k comments.

Them people gave their reactions to the beaming eyes, with many find it all rather terrifying.

One person said: "The way I would’ve simply set the whole tree on fire."

A second added: "I would have destroyed the whole tree in a panic."

Meanwhile, others had similar reactions: 'one of my biggest fears', one person said - and another added: "I would have died on the spot."

The woman was shocked to find a mouse in her Christmas tree.

However, there were some people that had some suggestions on how to get the creature safely out.

One person said: "Shake the tree before you bring it out of storage."

But a second person provided another solution, they said: "Adorable, rescue them, name them and keep them."

And another TikTok user pleaded: "Please don’t hurt him. You may have taken his home accidentally please don’t hurt him."

Well, it appears that the mouse did indeed make it out the house in one piece as Gina uploaded a follow-up video.

The woman's cats were chasing the mouse in a second video.

However, in the video that the woman uploaded, her two cats were trying to catch the mouse as it hid under a sofa.

The two cats seem determined to get the small animal, but didn't manage to get it in the video.

Fear not though, Gia captioned the video by saying that "no mouse was harmed in the making of this video he's now safely outside with the Christmas tree."
