Fans Of Netflix's You Think They Know Who Joe's Brother Is

This has blown our minds.

You fans have come up with a dramatic theory about Joe Goldberg's potential sibling.

Yep, those who have got to the end of the third instalment of the Netflix show will know that Joe might well have a half brother, thanks to a cryptic flashback.

The memory showed a young Joe coming face to face with his mother and asking her whether she loved him any more, after his murderous behaviour caused her to leave him in a home.

And during the interaction we see Joe's mum with another little boy. Could he be Joe's brother?

Of course, there's every chance that the other child in question is just someone Joe's mum is looking after, rather than a blood child.

But if she has given birth again, that means there's another relative of Joe strolling the streets.

There are some theories about who Joe's mystery sibling could be, if they are in fact related.

And some fans have suggested that Joe's brother is Theo Engler - the teenage son of his neighbour Matthew, and the secret lover of his wife, Love.

The reason fans think this is that we are introduced to Theo as Matthew's step-son, and are pointedly never told who his mother is.

Discussing the theory in a Reddit thread, one person pondered: "They kept Theo alive for a reason and showed Joe’s half brother for the first time for a reason, no?

"Maybe him and his step dad get involved with the FBI next season and try to solve this mystery and stuff and find out about them being brothers? Can they be brothers?"

Another wrote: "Certainly possible. I don't recall Joe's age being mentioned anywhere, so with Theo being 19 the ages could work out if we assume Joe is in early 30s."

As a third agreed: "I kept thinking throughout the series how similar Theo and young Joe looked...."

Others weren't as convinced, though, noting that Joe's mum appeared to call the kid 'Jakey', rather than Theo.

Referring to Joe's baby, another responded: "That’s easy to deflect I guess, Henry is also called forty so he could’ve had 2 names.

"I mean it’s just a theory, wild shot in the dark but I think it could work".

"The odds that his brother from New York would end up in the same LA suburbs with him and living next door is soap opera-level bullsh*t," said another.

We guess we're going to have to wait and see when season four airs...
