Coronation Street fans think they have worked out who really hurt Lauren Bolton after bloodstains were found on the curtains of her flat.

The latest episode of the beloved ITV soap brought a whole lot of drama with it after it was teased that teenager Lauren, played by Cait Fitton, had been murdered, weeks after she first went missing.

Corrie viewers have since rushed to social media to share their speculation on the 'truth' behind the bloodstains found in Lauren's flat and what they believe really happened to her.

They have not held back with their theories on her whereabouts and who could possibly be behind the bizarre disappearance with Roy Cropper, played by David Neilson, falling under suspicion on Monday night (11 March).

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers discussed whether the teen was attacked or kidnapped - or if there was a whole other explanation for the blood.

Others also questioned which character would have motive or reason to hurt or even kill Lauren - with many convinced that Roy was not the only suspect.

Instead, they've turned their attention to Bobby Crawford - the son of killer Rob Donovan.

One user claimed: "Bobby definitely knows what’s happened to Lauren and him pushing to 'find out' what happened to her is a cover-up."

A second penned: "Creepy Bobby’s concern about Lauren act is just a front."

"Why is Bobby behaving like he was married to Lauren," hit out a third, while a fourth chimed in: "Bobby, you had just met Lauren. Not you acting like you two are already a super-couple."

Some viewers have turned their attention to Bobby.

A fifth then piped up: "Bobby barely knows Lauren, carrying on like he’s known her for ages!"

"Bloody hell," quipped someone else. "This Bobby kid only knew Lauren for about 2 weeks. Now he's being treated as her long-time lover!"

Another wondered: "Bobby seems keen for someone to take Lauren's flat considering he's allegedly worried sick about her..."

"I've been thinking that Bobby is responsible for what has happened to Lauren," revealed another.

And a final user speculated: "It was Bobby.

"His creepy and obsessive behaviour went too far and then wham, Lauren’s gone."

Well, I guess we'll all just have to wait and see what happens in the next few episodes to get to the bottom of it...

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
