Tom Hardy Returns To Read CBeebies Bedtime Stories

Ladies, big news. Tom Hardy will be giving us a festive treat this year, appearing on CBeebies Bedtime Stories again over Christmas.

Settling down on the Cbeebies armchair, Tom will be reading An Odd Dog Christmas by Rob Biddulph on Christmas Eve.

The tale follows a dog searching for the perfect present before she discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

And that's not all, on Christmas Day, Tom will also sit down for another story - The Christmas Pine by Julia Donaldson.

The picture book, illustrated by Victoria Sandoy, is based on the true story of the Christmas tree that stands in London’s Trafalgar Square, which is given each year by the Mayor of Oslo in Norway as a symbol of peace.

If that wasn't exciting enough, 44-year-old Tom will be accompanied by his French bulldog, Blue for both the stories.

It's not the first time Tom has appeared on the show, filming a whole week's worth of stories during lockdown.

Dubbed 'Tom week' the actor recorded stories from his garden, in line with social distancing guidelines, in a bid to keep children entertained during lockdown.

The first story he read was Hug Me by Simone Ciraolo. It was all about Felipe - a young cactus who needed a hug but unsurprisingly, his family weren't the touchy-feely kind. Instead, he set off to find a friend who could give him the cuddle he craved.

Other stories included, Under the Same Sky by Robert Vescio and Nicky Johnston, which is about two children living on opposite sides of the world who crave friendship; There's a Tiger in the Garden by Lizzy Stewart; Don't Worry, Little Crab by Chris Haughton and The Problem with Problems by Rachel Rooney and Zehra Hicks.

Tom joins a long list of stars who have previously read CBeebies Bedtime Stories, including Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Dolly Parton, Rege-Jean Page, Felicity Jones and Oti Mabuse.
