The trailer for Harry Styles' new movie, My Policeman, has just dropped and it looks so good.

You can watch it below:

The movie, which will be released on Prime Video on 4 November, stars Harry in the lead role as Tom Burgess, a gay police officer.

It follows Tom as he marries school teacher Marion (Emma Corrin) while also having a relationship with a man named Patrick (David Dawson).

Tom and Patrick fall for one another, but at the time the movie is set - in 1950s Brighton - same-sex relationships between men were illegal.

The love triangle continues for a while, but soon, jealousy begins and the relationship breaks down. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts and is directed by Michael Grandage.

The official poster for the film was released on Twitter yesterday, and unsurprisingly Harry's fans couldn't contain their excitement.

It features Harry as the titular character walking along the Brighton beachfront, announcing the trailer's arrival today.

Reacting to the poster, one fan wrote: "IM SCREAMING [sic]."

"I JUST GOT A HEART ATTACK?!? YOU CAN'T JUST DROP THIS POSTER SO CASUALLY LIKE THAT DO YOU THINK I AM MENTALLY STABLE ENOUGH FOR THIS?!" screamed another.

A third Harry fan gushed: "with due respect , why does it look like you want me bribing the door to heaven [sic]."

A fourth encouraged others to stay calm, writing: "IT’S HAPPENING EVERYBODY STAY CALM [sic]."

According to Bethan Roberts, her book The Policeman was based on the life of another novelist, E.M. Forster., who dated a policeman, Bob Buckingham, who was also friends with his wife, ELLE reports.

“While living with May, Buckingham pledged his half days off, and other hours during the week, to Forster,” she wrote.

“May, although jealous and often difficult, refused to listen when [warned] that Forster was about to break up her marriage."

Perhaps she, like Buckingham, stood to gain from what Forster could offer: not only money (he often gave financial gifts), but also entrance into the life of the cultural elite.”

While you will have to wait a little while to stream my My Policeman on Amazon Prime, you can see it on the big screen from October 21.

This isn't Harry's only highly-anticipated film to be released in the near future and he is also starring alongside his girlfriend Olivia Wilde in Don't Worry Darling.
