If you're looking for a new spooky series to watch in the lead up to Halloween then perhaps new murder mystery I Know What You Did Last Summer could be for you.

The Amazon Prime series is a modern take on the hit 1997 horror film with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Sarah Michelle Gellar that honours the same chilling premise.

The series sees a group of teenagers stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on graduation night, forcing them to spill their secrets or risk dying.

If this sounds like a bit of you, then you can catch the first four episodes now on Prime Video.

The show stars Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, and Ashley Moore as well as Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom, and Bill Heck.

Last month, horror fans were left thrilled when the trailer dropped for the young adult series, which takes its cue from the 1973 novel of the same name by Lois Duncan.

Set to Olivia Rodrigo's 'Brutal', the teaser saw the group preparing for their graduation with one teen saying: "This graduation party is iconique," a slang phrase for iconic.

The trailer then took on a dark and chilling tone, with the teens covering up their so-called accident: "No one will know what we did."

But, someone does know their dirty little secret and are intent on punishing and exposing them for their sins.

Speaking of the reboot, Albert Cheng, co-Head of Television at Amazon Studios, said: "The best horror franchises always have another scare coming, and this I Know What You Did Last Summer series for Sara Goodman is a perfectly twisted update to the iconic slasher movie."
