As Euphoria fans try to come to terms with the nail biting season 2 finale, some viewers have only just started to realise why Suze Howard looks so familiar.

Suze, played by Alanna Ubach, is Cassie and Lexi's mum and she had a tumultuous relationship with their dad Gus (played by Nick Blood) partly due to her drinking.

Alanna's character has appeared in a total of 13 episodes across season 1 and 2 but fans are only just realising that the actress starred alongside Reese Witherspoon in one of our favourite comedy films about a sorority girl who goes to Harvard to win back her ex-boyfriend.

Yep, you guessed it - Alanna played Serena McGuire in Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

Alanna was cast as Elle Woods’ bestie and sorority sister at the Delta Nu house. She also supported Elle as she attempted to get a Juris Doctor degree at Harvard Law School during her quest to woo her ex Warner Huntington III.

A post was shared by the Instagram account @blondesstuckinthe2000s showing Alanna as Size and Serena and fans couldn’t believe they never made the connection before.

“That’s iconic,” one fan declared.

Another commenter quipped: “I found this out and everything suddenly made sense”.

A third revealed: “This made my day”.

While a fourth reacted with: “Omg this is so amazing”.

Another shocked reaction came from one Instagram user who said: “I had no clue omg”.

And someone else stated: “Forever an icon”.

Alanna is set to return to the Legally Blonde universe in the hotly anticipated third film which is due for release this summer.

The film has been on the cards since 2018 and it was originally meant to be released on Valentine's Day in 2020. But, like a lot of TV and film releases, coronavirus slowed it down.

Screenwriter Mindy Kaling revealed some details about her involvement in the hit franchise and working with Reese Witherspoon in October 2020.

"I was nervous, because the [original 2001] movie is so iconic," she said during a Good Morning America interview, adding: "But then I thought, 'It'd be really fun to see that character in her 40s. What is Elle Woods dealing with as a 41-year-old woman?'"

Kaling added: "And it's been really funny to write. And I'm working on it with my friend Dan [Goor], and I think it's going to be a great movie for Reese and people are going to love to see her in this part."

Excitingly, Reese Witherspoon will be reprising her role as the pink-loving, sorority girl-turned-badass lawyer Elle Woods in the upcoming movie.

We can't wait to see the gals back together!

Legally Blonde 3 will be released 20th May 2022.
