Stranger Things Fans Are Just Realising Robin Actor Has Very Famous Parents

Stranger Things fanatics are naturally obsessing over every little detail in the brand new season, and some viewers are just discovering one actor from the series has very famous parents.

Robin Buckley is one of the main characters in the sci-fi drama after she was introduced in season three. Actress Maya Hawke portrays the Hawkins High School student, and fans are just realising who her parents are – none other than Hollywood legends Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

Ethan is best known for his roles in the 1989 drama Dead Poets Society alongside Robin Williams, the 1994 Generation X film Reality Bites and his co-starring role in Training Day with Denzel Washington, earning him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Oscars.

He most recently starred in the Marvel series Moon Knight, and is set to terrify viewers in the upcoming horror film The Black Phone.

Uma Thurman has also had a film and TV career spanning decades, with her most prominent roles being The Bride in both Kill Bill volumes and Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction.

Ethan and Uma were married for seven years between 1998 and 2005 and they had two children together, including Maya in 1998 and her younger brother Levon, born in 2002.

Fans now have another reason to love Robin, with one fan posting on social media: "She sounds just like her momma. I love her in this show and glad she got added."

Lots of people are convinced Maya sounds just like her mum. A second response said: "I recognised her voice lol and thought that I know it so I googled her. Doesn’t she sound exactly like Uma Thurman?"

Another Facebook user said they had an inkling Maya had famous parents. "I suspected when I saw that smile and her eyes. Had to Google to confirm," they wrote. "Beautiful young lady just like her mom was."

Some people recognised Maya from her role in the 2017 BBC adaptation of Little Women. In her debut screen role, Maya portrayed the main character, Jo March.

While a fourth person shared: "She looks JUST like both of them hahaha she’s gorgeous!"
