Stranger Things have been left well and truly stunned after realising who Maya Hawke’s parents are.
As we know, the hit Netflix series boasts a pretty star-studded cast: you've got Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington and, of course, Hawke as Robin Buckley - and that's just naming a handful.
While Stranger Things fans may know every single detail about their favourite TV programme, including countless fan theories of an alleged 'fake ending' and online speculations like 'conformity gate', it's clear they know a little less about the personal lives of the actors behind the beloved Hawkins crew.
And that was exactly the case for Hawke, who is actually the child of two major Hollywood A-listers.

Yep, the 27-year-old star is the daughter of Before Sunrise actor Ethan Hawke and Pulp Fiction icon Uma Thurman - talk about a power couple!
The pair were married from 1998 to 2005 and welcomed their daughter the year they wed, before welcoming their second child, 23-year-old son Levon, to their family in 2002.
After clocking the family connection, fans rushed online to share their thoughts, with one Instagram user writing: "Did not know that was his daughter, this really just shocked me!"

"I was today years old to know this and Uma Thurman as mum," confessed a second, as a third chimed in: "Uma Thurman is her mum? Wow, mind blown. Learned something new today!"
A fourth echoed: "Wow I was today years old..."
"So glad I'm not the only one..." chirped a fifth, as a sixth admitted: "The fact that I did not know these are her parents. Like, no wonder she's so good at acting!!!"

"No, my mind is blown, but at the same time, I like seeing actors' kids turned actors. Just like with athletes' kids," shared another.
And a final Instagram user gushed: "Somehow, she’s the spitting image of both parents!"
Well, that is how genetics works!
Speaking about her 'life as a Hollywood nepo baby', Hawke told The Times in 2024: "It’s OK to be made fun of when you’re in rarefied air. It’s a lucky place to be. My relationships with my parents are really honest and positive, and that supersedes anything anyone can say about it."
Apart from Stranger Things, which came to an end last week with its controversial finale episode on New Year's Eve, Hawke has starred in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Little Women, Inside Out 2, Asteroid City and will appear in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which is set to hit cinemas later this year in November.
