Stay Close Fans Are Blaming Kayleigh For Everything

**WARNING! Major spoilers for Stay Close below.**

Fans of Netflix drama Stay Close have had enough of one character in particular, and that's Megan's eldest daughter Kayleigh.

As they made their way through the series' various twists and turns, viewers couldn't help but notice that a lot of heartbreak could have been avoided if it weren't for Kayleigh's snooping.

From early in the series, Kayleigh finds out about her mother's former double life as Cassie as is determined to find out more.

But fans are convinced that if she had just stayed out of it, things would have worked out a lot better for everyone.

In the final scenes of the show, viewers learned that Kayleigh had actually pushed missing person Carlton Flynn into the boot of his own car, after he tried to spike her drink. She then rang her dad, Dave, to pick her up, no questions asked.

After hearing the news that Carlton had gone missing and recognising the car he was last seen in, Dave decided to push the car into the river – not knowing Carlton was still in the boot, because Kayleigh never told him.

While we now know that she was indirectly responsible for Carlton's demise - alongside Dave - fans are certain that Kayleigh could have protected so many others from an early grave if she had been honest sooner about that night at her mum's old club.

If she did speak up, freaky private investigators Barbie and Ken would never have been hired to try and find Carlton, and a lot more characters would have survived.

After finishing the show, fans had to vent their frustration on Twitter, calling out Kayleigh for causing so much drama.

One annoyed viewer tweeted: "Kayleigh is gonna be the downfall of cassie/megan always tryna catch her out lmaooo. it really be your own kids."

"Kayleigh is a grown a** kid. Quit snooping, get your behind outta this house," commented another.

A third wrote: "Kayleigh acting as if her mum dragged her into all this, she got herself involved, now look!"

"If little miss Kayleigh had spoken up from the start about what happened to Carlton Flynn, he could have been saved, and his dad wouldn’t need to hire that couple to find him, by them killing off innocent people," said one fan. "It’s so frustrating."
